Catching up again! With Week 39/40’s prompt, I would like to share with you a personal photo of the Triple Goddess personified.

Myself, my biological mother, and my adopted mother (who was my bio mom’s own mother!) together made the representation of the Triple Goddess. Maiden, Mother, Crone. Three generations of beautiful women who had endured a lot of hell and bullcrap thrown their way, all whom had a vast array of wonderful femininity and life in their very different stages of life.

The Triple Goddess consists of the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone, often depicted together as a triple moon symbol (waxing, full, and waning). She provides polarity to the male essence of her counterpart, the Horned God.

What they represent…

The Maiden – She represents excitement, the promise of new beginnings, and enchantment.

The Mother – She represents stability, abundance, and fulfillment–sexual, emotional, and social.

The Crone – She represents wisdom, compassion, and vast knowing.

Their aspects may also represent the three cycles of a woman’s life; birth, life, and death (also rebirth).

Love and light,
Mary
