It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Day 6 – Compare This Christmas to Last Christmas

Last Christmas, I was with my husband of nearly five years.  I lived in Thornhill, a suburban community north of Toronto, and we had five cats between us and my MIL.  We had our annual Christmas party that was already a huge hit with our friends, and the house was fully decorated with pastel decor (much of it DIY) and my gorgeous white tree.  Around this time, I was planning for the party and was jamming to Christmas music all the time.

This Christmas, I’m separated.  I live with my best friends in north Toronto.  We have a dog, no cats, and we have minimal Christmas decorations up because we live in a very small place and I’m the only one here who is a Christmas nut 😉  There’s no holiday party this year and the 25th is going to be a very quiet affair.   Right now, I’m not even listening to Christmas music.

Hopefully I can still find joy this year!

Photography Challenge Day 6 – Favourite Meal of the Day

My favourite meal of the day is definitely dinner.  Evening has come, we’re starting to relax, and the lovely smells and sounds of cooking food are so comforting to me.   And the meal itself is, too.  It puts me in a good mood, especially if someone else is the one cooking 😉

All you have to do is look in the Mirror — look in your Heart — and look at your Family to find your Joy!!! And look at your Friends!!! Joy is all around you. Grab it up and stuff it inside your soul!! I love you and am so proud of you <3
