Happy 2015!

Happy 2015, goddesses!

I hope that your year is going to be about YOU.  Bright, shiny, sparkling, hopefully with some magic thrown in.

I began the year with a trip to a friend’s family cottage in Shelburne, which is a couple hours north of here.  It was a magical couple of days; gorgeous snow fell in a place so quiet, all you could hear was the wind whispering down through the trees.  No city light pollution, only the full moon shining blue through our windows as we slept.   Wolf and deer tracks were everywhere, and we encountered a wolf in the moonlit darkness one night when we were looking for thin, long sticks on which to roast marshmallows.  In the daylight, we walked in the woods.   When we came in, we had hot drinks and sat in front of the fire as snow drifted down outside.

It was heavenly.

I tell ya, going to a cottage is like recharging your batteries.  As much as I love the city, reconnecting with nature is a huge need for me and I always feel rejuvenated when I come home.   It’s like when you fill your body with whole, healthy foods after a holiday season packed with sugary and carb-loaded goodies, and you feel refreshed and clean again (yeah, doing that too, LOL).

So this year I’m starting to read Simple Abundance again.  It’s a book by Sarah Ban Breathnach and has been quite popular since its release in 1996.  My mother first gave me a copy in 2009 to begin in 2010, and I absolutely loved it.  Now we both have the ebook version (thanks Mom!) and we’re doing it together this year.

I’m going to start my gratitude journal today (which relates to Simple Abundance), and create a pocket gratitude diary for you all! It will be a month’s worth of recording your gratitudes whether you’re sitting cozy at home in your jammies or are out and about and will be available for FREE here on the blog! Woohoo!!

I’m also doing Leonie Dawson’s 2015 Create Your Shining Year Workbook.   I HOLY CRAP HIGHLY RECOMMEND anything and everything Leonie comes out with, and even if you don’t ever follow anything else she comes up with, doing the workbook yearly is SUCH an investment.

Read about it HERE, lovelies!

That’s all for now! I’m off to work on the gratitude pocket diary and continue to stay warm from these crazy bitter temps!

Love and light,
