Here is my online portfolio of a selection of my art works. I hope you enjoy and are inspired!
I work mostly in an illustrative style, using a range of materials that include Prismacolour coloured pencils, a 0.5 to 0.7mm mechanical pencil, Sakura Micron fineliners in various sizes, marker pens, acrylic paints, and watercolours paints and pencils. I strive for colour, emotion, and pouring my soul into paper and canvas with my focus on whimsy and fantasy. I work with any paper that I have available, which can provide for interesting textures and tones, but I mainly use bristol board when working with markers and Prismacolours.
I have also begun to work more closely with digital art using Photoshop, focusing on bright colours and whimsical themes.
Inspiration comes to me in many forms. People, emotions, thoughts, memories, weather, landscapes, spirituality, dreams, art, and more. For instance, my black paper art is mostly influenced by English landscapes and wildlife with a bit of fantasy thrown in, while other pieces are purges from mental illness.
Some of my older works are signed off with “MA”, which was my name when I was married before. They are now signed with “MG”.
If there are any works you would be interested in for any reason, feel free to contact me at wayfaring.dreams(at)gmail(dot)com. I hope to have some various prints available for purchase in 2018.
