Acceptance of What Is

Howdy, goddesses!

The January 23rd entry in Simple Abundance got me thinking, as most of the days in the book do.   Sarah talked about how she accepted her life as it currently was, hardships and imperfections and all.   The delay in our dreams. Our work, our financial status, our health, our relationships, our feelings, and our progress.   “Before we can change anything in our life we have to recognize that this is the way it’s meant to be right now.”

Acceptance is realizing that it’s all part of the journey.

None of us can get to the destination without the journey.  Not one of us.  And what use is the destination if we haven’t learned anything along the way?

Like Sarah, part of my struggle to find contentment in my life has been because I’ve been stubbornly rejecting everything going on in the present, Real Time moment of living my life.  Accepting, surrendering to What  Is became such a relief to me.

It’s made me calmer, more open to seeing and accepting the blessings of the life that’s been given to me.  It’s made me change my thinking, the vibrations I was putting out into the universe.  It’s made me see clearly ahead to the next steps to the change in my life.

Everything in life that we really accept undergoes a change.  – Katherine Mansfield

This is my tiny bachelor apartment that I share with two other women and a small dog, clutter and drafty windows and all.  This is how much I weigh.  This is my bank account.   This is my heartache, my battle with mental illness and my old ideals of love and marriage that never quite matched up with my Truth and Self.   This is my long-distance relationship that will not result in physical permanence until early spring of 2016.   This is what is happening in my life right now, and that’s okay.

It’s okay, I promise you.

This is Life in real time.

Begin to accept, and your eyes will see more clearly.   Accept and let change begin in your life, healing you and helping you move on to the next set of steps in the dance of life.

Love and light,
